Scintillating Grid

The scintillating grid illusion consists of a grid of gray lines on a black background, with white dots superimposed on the intersections. The resulting effect is that the white spots randomly seem to turn black for a brief moment, creating a "scintillating" illusion.

This phenomenon was first discovered in 1994 by E. Lingelbach, and it is related to the Hermann Grid Illusion.
